Hola! Mi nombre es Vanessa,

But you can call me, V!

I found voiceover kind of by accident.

While studying Meisner in New York City, I realized I could build a creative, flexible life doing something I genuinely loved.

I’ve always been a performer at heart (and a musical theatre nerd), and voice acting gave me a place to bring characters to life, be fully present in the moment, and even sing for a living while staying home with my baby girl.

It took off in a way I didn’t expect, and it felt natural from the start.

I was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, a region that’s rich in culture but not often represented in mainstream media. Growing up, I didn’t see or hear voices like mine in the shows I loved or the characters I connected to. That’s a big part of why I do what I do now.

As a Latina voice actor and director, I care deeply about creating space for authentic representation—both in front of the mic and behind it. I’ve voiced characters that reflect my culture and experiences, and I bring that same intention into the sessions I direct. Whether I’m guiding a performance or stepping into one, I’m thinking about who gets to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

It’s not just about being part of the industry—it’s about shaping it in a way that’s more inclusive, more vibrant, and more real. Because at the end of the day, I want young girls—especially girls who come from communities like mine—to grow up hearing themselves in the stories they love.
